The Hotel Rubihaus was founded in 1888 as a hotel-pension and was considered the second largest hotel property in Oberstdorf at the time.

Since that time, our hotel has had various owners and many stories.

Numerous changes, such as the park area and the sale of the staff building, altered the overall appearance of the property.

Hotel Rubihaus was purchased in 1965 by the Heinle family and has been operated as a family business ever since.

The Rubihaus hotel is owned by the Heinle family.

It was purchased and managed by Georg and Franziska Heinle in 1965 in Oberstdorf. In 1982, Josef and Heidemarie Heinle took over the hotel. The entire new construction of the hotel with rooms and holiday flats was completed in 1991.

Since 2010, Sebastian Heinle, the son of the family, has also been working at Hotel Rubihaus in Oberstdorf. So our hotel is now in the 3rd generation of family ownership.

In 2013, another new building was completed: our exclusive 5-star chalet.
